Parent Groups

The Julia Kiniski School Council is a group of energetic, dedicated parents and school staff, who meet eight times per year, usually on the evening of the third Tuesday of each month (excluding December and June).

School Council provides an opportunity for parents to help organize events, discuss educational topics or areas of concern, provide feedback, and be involved in decision making processes. All parents of Julia Kiniski School are considered to be members of the School Council and are welcome to attend any of the meetings.  The School Council Executive for 2016-17 will be elected the fall of 2016. FIRST SCHOOL COUNCIL MEETING TUESDAY, SEPT 20, 2016, @ 6:30 PM.

New this year is a fundraising society. Elections for this society will be held on Sept. 20th as well.

Call for Volunteers:

The School Council Executive and Committee Coordinators are currently seeking a parent or grandparent who is interested in helping to organize and serve food on hot lunch and snack days. If you are able to help, please email Robin at jkschoolcouncil@gmail.com, or call to leave your name at the school office, at 780-462-4622. The job is not difficult! It just requires a bit of time each month and a commitment to be at the school on the morning of hot lunch days.
